What else does the rescue committee do and how can I get involved?
First, if you are not already a member, you can join the IHA. This is a great way to learn more about hedgehogs and to get involved with others who share your interest in our prickly pals. Then, volunteer to get involved in the rescue committee.
The rescue committee is dedicated to the support of our rescue organizations, and as such we have an ongoing responsibility to help our rescues! Some of the current projects we would like to work on include:
compiling a pamphlet of fundraising ideas for rescues |
innovating and carrying out fund raising activities for rescue |
creating a pamphlet that rescues can give to veterinarians that explain what IHA rescue is and encouraging discounted fees to rescue organizations |
locating businesses that sell hedgehog supplies that are willing to offer discounts to IHA rescues |
identifying ways that we can promote and support hedgehog rescues |
If
you are an IHA member and are interested in attending our cybermeetings and helping with these important tasks, please email for more information |
